Authorities said Jessica Aber, the former US counsel for the Eastern District of Virginia, died in her house on Saturday night, and that her death appears to have been caused by natural causes.
On Tuesday night, the Alexandria authorities department released an upgrade, saying that police had discovered” no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than organic factors.”
Aber, 43, was discovered at 9:20 am, which sparked a wave of sympathies from current and former department of justice leaders. Two former top justice department authorities also noted that regional authorities did not believe foul play was involved, according to a household friend who recently told NBC News that police had previously suspected a health problem as the reason.
A ultimate decision from the office of the chief medical examiner has not yet been made public about the official cause and manner of death.
