In response to recent allegations of sexual assault and abuse, actor and comedian Joe Gatto has canceled upcoming dates for his comedy tour and moved to an inpatient center.
Gatto, who starred in the hidden-camera series” Impossible Jokers” on TruTV from 2011 to 2021, announced in a statement on Wednesday that he had freely started receiving treatment at an unknown center, per People.
A woman accused the Staten Island-born improvisation comedian of sexual assault less than a week after making the announcement on social advertising.
The girl claimed in a number of since-deleted TikTok video posted on March 20 that the assault took place in 2023 when she was 19 when she claimed.
Three days later, a a next girl came forward  with various complaints against the 48-year-old artist, which she described as intimate abuse.
The girl, who worked for the actor during his” Impossible Jokers” days, claimed that Gatto’s behavior changed as soon as she turned 18 and that he started being very seductive. She claimed that he would ask about her sex life and request up massages, and that he actually again invited her to his area and demanded that she sex with him.
Gatto, a married father of two, has denied the allegations, but he has acknowledged that his past has caused him to lose faith in those he loves the most.
Gatto said in a statement on Wednesday that he had taken some time to reflect and that he had chosen to voluntarily enroll in an inpatient plan to remain working on myself.
He also thanked his supporters, friends, and “especially ]his ] family for their ongoing support, never more so than in the last few days.
Gatto announced in late 2021 that he and his family had decided to part ways after eight years of marriage. He claimed in an Instagram post that the two had reconciled two years later.
Let’s Get Into It, Gatto’s most recent funny journey, kicked off in Lafayette, Indiana, on February 13 and is now scheduled to conclude in Atlanta on November 14.
The event planner has most of his deadlines canceled, according to Ticketmaster, through the end of June. Payments will be made in accordance with the original transaction process used at the time of purchase.
