The California Department of Education was allegedly violating the Family Educational Rights Privacy Act and “hiding juveniles” sex identity from their kids,” according to President Donald Trump’s Department of Education, which opened an investigation on Thursday.
The California Department of Education stated in a press release on Thursday that” the California Department of Education has reportedly abdicated the duties FERPA imposes due to a fresh California state law that prohibits class officers from disclosing a child’s “gender identity” to their parents.  ,
The Education Department added that SPPO has reason to believe that numerous local educational organizations ( LEAs ) in California are using FERPA to socially transition students while keeping minors ‘ “gender identity” hidden from parents.
Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins informed the governor in a letter obtained by The Daily Wire. On Thursday, Governor Newsom (D-Calif. ) announced that the department would work with the education department to investigate the Democrat-led state.
The 47th president had been given the order to conduct” a review of its research and other education-related funding in California for compliance with the Constitution, federal laws, including Titles VI and IX, and the priorities of the Trump Administration,” according to the letter obtained by The Daily Wire.
Trump’s transgender military ban has been blocked by a Biden judge.
Rollins emphasized in her letter to Newsom that her department would support the Education Department’s investigation into alleged family education rights and privacy act violations in California, particularly those involving state law prohibiting parents from being informed about their child’s “gender identity.”
According to Rollins,” USDA will support ED’s investigation and efforts to vigorously defend parents ‘ rights and ensure that students do not fall victim to a radical transgender ideology that frequently causes family alienation and irreversible medical interventions.” She continued,” In the same way, we will be reviewing our federal funding with regard to other related matters under investigation.”
Education Secretary Linda McMahon argued against California Assembly Bill 1955 in a press release on Thursday, claiming that educators and counselors” should not be in the business of advising minors entrusted to their care on consequential decisions about their sexual identity and mental health.”
” That duty and privilege lies with a parent or trusted loved one,” McMahon continued. California schools ‘ “hiding important information about a student’s well-being from parents and guardians” is immoral and potentially incompatible with federal law.
