Gas prices: Five straight days of increases at the pumps

The regular price at the pump increased for five straight days as the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline increased. A quart of regular gasoline costs$ 3.129 per gallon, up from$ 3.129 per gallon a week ago, according to AAA.

Since March 18, when the regular price for standard gasoline was$ 3.078, fuel costs have increased by about 8 cents per gallon. Two days prior, the Trump administration praised how affordable gas was throughout the nation, and particularly recognized it as a four-year lower for gas prices in March. Oil prices started rising again almost as soon as this promotion was promoted. Regular gas costs more than a month ago, when it was$ 3.114 per gallon, today.

Oil prices fluctuate in various states throughout the nation. Energy prices on the West Coast are the most costly, while the Gulf regions are among the cheapest in the nation. Mississippi now has the lowest regular gas prices in the country, with an average of$ 2.682 per gallon for the position. Next is Oklahoma, with a statewide average of$ 2.726 per gallon, followed by Texas at$ 2.755, Louisiana at$ 2.763, and Alabama at$ 2.776.

California has the highest fuel prices in the nation, and has for many months already. The Golden State and Hawaii were tasked with the questionable distinction of having the nation’s highest oil prices earlier this year. California is strongly associated with that distinction, having a nationwide average price of$ 4.70 per gallon, roughly 1.5 times more expensive than the national average.

Hawaii is the next state with the highest oil price, at$ 4. 429 per gallon, followed by Washington, which is next with the highest oil price. These are the only state where ordinary fuel costs for a quart are above the$ 4 per gallon mark. The top five states with the highest average gas prices are Oregon, Oregon, and Nevada, which cost$ 3.788 per quart.

In the Delmarva area, gas prices have fluctuated a lot. Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware all have regionally the lowest gasoline charges. Washington, D.C., has usually experienced the highest oil prices in the last year.

With an average statewide gas price of$ 2.969 per gallon, Virginia has the lowest gas prices in the area. Delaware follows with a price of$ 3.045 per gallon, followed by Maryland, a state where gas prices have recently increased, coming in at$ 3.17 per gallon. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the capital of the country is$ 3.209.
