
A parent found a “monster” hidden under a boy’s bed, prompting law enforcement to make an arrest on Tuesday.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around Great Bend, Kansas, on Monday around 10:40 p.m. due to a “reported disturbance call,” according to a press release from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
” Upon introduction, the deputies got in touch with the victim, who claimed she was taking care of children at the home. One baby complained that there was a “monster” under their bed when they were put to bed, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office. When the survivor confronted a male suspect who was hiding under the bed when she tried to show the child there was nothing underneath. With the caregiver, a fight broke out, and one child was knocked over during the encounter. Before representatives could arrive, the suspect fled the scene.
Martin Villalobos Junior, 27, was the “monster” discovered under the boy’s bed, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect formerly resided at the house but had a “protection from mistreatment order issued against him to stay away from the house.”

According to the release on Wednesday, the sheriff’s deputies searched the area after responding to the residence but were unable to find the 27-year-old believe.
Delegates were in the place the following day on March 25, 2025, and were still looking for the suspect, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was seen in the 2000 wall of Patton Road, where he made an attempt to escape from law enforcement. The believe was eventually apprehended following a brief foot pursuit.
The 27-year-old suspect was detained and booked at the Barton County Jail on suspicion of child danger, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary, criminal restriction of a law enforcement officer, and criminal infraction of a protection from misuse order, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office. Junior is currently being held without bail for$ 500,000.
