After extreme winds swept the southwestern region of Texas on Thursday and Friday, at least three individuals died and more than 200 were rescued.
Recovery procedures continued despite the heavy rain that had fallen on Friday along the Texas-Mexico border after severe hurricanes that had trapped residents, stranded cars, and closed an aircraft.
More than 21 inches ( 53 centimeters ) of rainfall was reported by Harlingen officials during the week. Authorities rescued more than 200 occupants and 200 others who were awaiting guidance as a result of Thursday’s significant flooding, according to the AP news agency.
” This has obviously been a historic and difficult event for the city. Harlingen is powerful, though. Mayor Norma Sepulveda stated at a press conference on Friday evening that” we have faced hardships before and we will get through this up.”
Jionni Ochoa, 46, and Pollyann Ochoa, 33, both from Palm Valley, were left in their flooded house with knee-deep waters. They claimed that only their bed and belongings were wet and that only their bed was left dried.
From 8:30 on Thursday, waters entered their house through electrical outlets. The few attempted to save their belongings, including their pet animal, by disconnecting the power and making an attempt to save them.
As confirmed by fire division chief RC Flores during a Friday evening media briefing, emergency services in Alamo conducted over 100 liquid rescue operations to assist people trapped in homes and vehicles.
According to standard evaluations, the flooding in Alamo affected roughly 200 homes.

Tornado see issued
The National Weather Service has made a Tornado Watch for Polk and Liberty regions powerful until Friday at 7 p.m.
Strong winds, powerful rain, and the possibility of a short-duration secluded tornado could all result from a potential thunderstorm development.
