Vice President JD Vance was chosen by President Donald Trump to lead the charge against the renowned Smithsonian Institution’s “anti-American” philosophy.  ,
Trump signed an executive order on Thursday managing Vance, who is a member of the Smithsonian Board of Regents, to handle an effort to get rid of “improper, controversial, or anti-American philosophy” from the Smithsonian Institution, which is credited as the world’s largest gallery, learning, and analysis advanced. In accordance with the law, Vance may work with members of Congress to appoint members of the Smithsonian Board of Regents who “are determined to advance the party of America’s remarkable history and progress.”
The Smithsonian Institution once enjoyed widespread respect as a global icon of cultural achievement and a divisive, race-centered ideology, according to Trump’s executive order. This change has led to the development of narratives that portray Western and American values as being inherently oppressive and harmful.
The Smithsonian Institution receives roughly$ 1 billion in federal funding each year. Under the new order, which directs members of Trump’s administration to work with Congress to ensure that future Smithsonian appropriations prohibit funding for exhibits or programs that “degrade shared American values, divide Americans by race, or promote ideologies inconsistent with Federal law,” some of those funds may be in danger. The administration will work with Congress to ensure that the Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History order is carried out and that the American Women’s History Museum “celebrates women’s achievements… and does not recognize men as women.”  ,

The Trump administration’s decision to demolish the Smithsonian Institution is just one more step in a series of attempts to remove what the president considers to be liberal and partisan ideologies from renowned cultural centers around the world. He gained notoriety for his work in the Kennedy Center, which is the nation’s preeminent center of culture, in February. The president made a pledge to “make the arts great again” by naming himself as the center’s chairman.
Trump outlined a number of instances of exhibits and incidents at the sprawling network that he believed foment “divisive ideology” and “false narratives” that undermine the United States ‘ “unparalleled legacy of advancing liberty, individual rights, and human happiness,” on Thursday.
He claimed that the National Museum of African American History and Culture denies that “hard work,” “individualism,” and” the nuclear family” are characteristics of” White culture.”
According to the president, the United States has “used race to establish and maintain systems of power, privilege, and disenfranchisement” in an exhibit at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, which asserts that race is a “human invention” and that sculpture has been” a powerful tool in promoting scientific racism.  ,

Trump said those exhibits and others are a part of a systemic Left effort to redefine American history, Trump said, coming as other conservative organizations have long criticised the Smithsonian Institution for encouraging racism and “identity politics.”  ,
The order reads,” Under this historical revision, our Nation’s unparalleled legacy of advancing liberty, individual rights, and human happiness is reconstructed as inherently racist, sexist, oppressive, or otherwise irredeemably flawed.” The widespread effort to rewrite history, disregarding the progress made by America and the ideals that still inspire millions around the world, deepens societal divisions and fosters a sense of national shame.
