US President Donald Trump sparked laugh during a recent press meeting when a reporter asked him to determine what a person is. The problem came as Trump spoke following the swearing-in of Alina Habba, a longtime alliance, as the US attorney for New Jersey.
The writer started the conversation by acknowledging Trump’s part in appointing people to important posts in his leadership, including chief of staff Susie Wiles, press secretary Karoline Leavitt, and attorney general Pam Bondi. He therefore asked,” Since Democrats seem to challenge answering this question, I want to ask you, what is a person and why is it critical that we understand the difference between men and women”?
The place erupted in laughter as Trump boldly declared that the problem was an “easy” one to answer.
” A person is someone who, under certain conditions, can have a child. She has fairness. A person is a person who is much smarter than a man— I’ve often found. A person is a person who doesn’t yet provide a person a chance of success”, he said, drawing smiles from people around him.
But, Trump quickly shifted to a more serious voice, using the time to tackle the contentious subject of transgender athletes competing in women’s activities.
” A person is also someone who, in many cases, has been treated unfairly. The idea that men may contend in women’s sports is not only absurd but profoundly wrong. It disrespects and demeans women”, he said.
Without naming certain people, Trump referenced a Democratic senator advocating for the participation of transgender players in women’s athletics. He therefore quipped that Democrats pushing for such plans may struggle to get future elections.
Under Trump’s presidency, some measures were introduced to push up against female ideology. He signed an executive order titled” Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports”, which bars education organizations receiving federal money from allowing trans athletes to compete against biological girls. Another purchase,” Defending Ladies from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government”, established a scheme recognising only two women at the national level.
The US department of education also launched an investigation into California’s department of education over alleged violations of the Family Educational Rights Privacy Act ( FERPA ). This followed the passage of a California legislation restricting institutions from informing relatives about a child’s gender identity.
In reply, California governor Gavin Newsom’s director, Elana Ross, told Fox News Digital that” Kids continue to own full, assured access to their child’s education data, as required by federal law”.
Wrapping up his remarks, Trump reiterated his respect for women, saying,” People are amazing people who do so many for our country. We love our ladies, and we’re going to take care of them”.
