A helicopter crashed into a home in Minnesota’s Brooklyn Park on Saturday evening, sparking a huge fire that immediately consumed the home.
Dramatic images shared on social media shows lights engulfing the home as wet smoke billows into the clouds. Fire personnel rushed to the scene near the intersection of 108th Avenue North and Noble Avenue, working to contain the incident.
Officials confirmed that no one inside the house was injured, but the condition of those onboard the aircraft remains questionable.
People in the surrounding region were evacuated as a precaution until crisis firefighters secured the picture.
Minnesota government Tim Walz addressed the tragedy, saying,” My staff is in touch with local authorities on the field in Brooklyn Park, and we are monitoring the situation carefully. Glad to the first responders answering the call”.
Authorities have yet to release information about the plane or the cause of the fall as investigations continue.
