‘ Many conflicts’ broke out at a shopping mall in Arlington in United States ‘ Virginia on Saturday, leaving a police officer and a store security guard with minor injuries, Arlington County Police Department (ACPD ) said.
Three adolescents, including one who likewise received minor wounds, were arrested at the Fashion Centre in Pentagon City store, which has been closed following the problems.
” Officers responded the 1100 wall of S. Hayes Street for the record of many battles in the area. At the manner of ACPD, the store is then closed. Authorities remain on field. Choose prevent the area”, the PD said in a blog on X.
” Three adolescents have been detained. One of the detained youths reported minor wounds. One agent and one store security protect reported minor injuries. Officers remain on scene investigating. Mall is closed. Avoid the area”, it shared in a primary update.
Authorities ordered closure of the Pentagon City store at around 7: 30 am, while its standard closing time is 9 am, according to a document.
Video going viral on social media show full chaos inside the store. People are seen fighting each other, with officers moving in to recover buy amid the chaos.
As per a several social media accounts, police were forced to call for forces, as well as emergency medical service.
Pentagon City was locked down in September last month, too, according to what was described as” smash-and-grab assault” by a group of youth.
In that case, Arlington County Police initially responded to accounts of shots being fired in, but the initial investigation revealed no shots were fired. The shutdown had lasted for about an hour before consumers were able to eventually leave the store.
