A Rwandan commercial financing lawyer, Sophie Chandauka, who heads the American donation that was co-founded by Prince Harry, has accused the king of “harassment and bullying at scale” after Prince Harry and others involved in the charity quit this week. Chandauka revealed in a TV meeting that Prince Harry informed the press initial about his decision without informing her in a publicity stunt.
Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and the board of trustees left the Sentebale and issued a statement that said they resigned from their jobs until more notice. Prince Harry said he was in horror after deciding si quit the generosity that he set up to help younger people with HIV and SIDS. ” Although we may no longer be guests, we will always be its members, and we will never forget what this generosity is capable of achieving when it is in the correct care”, it continued. The decision came after a disagreement with Chandauka who was asked to step down but she took legal actions to keep her place.
The Sentebale ( forget me not in the local language ) was founded by Harri and Prince Seeiso in 2006 in honor of Princess Diana.
‘ This is an instance of harassment and bullying at level ‘
In an appointment with Sky News, Chandauks said the attack that she has been facing since Prince Harry announced his decision to stop the Sentebale is an example of harassment and bullying at scale. ” At some point on Tuesday, Prince Harry authorized the launch of a devastating piece of news to the outside earth without informing me or my country managers, or my professional producer”, she said. ” And can you imagine what that harm has done for me, on me and the 540 people in the Sentebale companies and their community”? she added. ” That is an instance of harassment and bullying at level”.
Sources, but, contradicted the state and said the departure letter was sent to the president on March 10– much before the information became public, CNN reported.
Chandauka said Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso “want to push a failure and finally come to the rescue” of the business.
‘Can’t defend Meghan Markle ‘
Chandauka said the key risk that the business was facing was the poisoning of its lead sponsor Prince Harru’s company. Chandauka was on Senebale’s board before becoming the chairperson and said that Sentebale will live on without Prince Harry.
Chandauka said she felt tension with Harry a year ago. Harry’s team asked her to defend Meghan Markle from negative publicity. ” I said no, we’re not setting a precedent by which we become an extension of the Sussex PR machine”, Chandauka said.
