One of the bouquets of Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R-Ga. ) second term as governor of the Peach State was a law that secured Georgia’s elections and made it, in Kemp’s thoughts, “easier to vote and harder to lie”. The legislation was a direct reaction to trickery that took place during the 2020 election time.

In November, I wrote about the circumstances that led the government and the General Assembly to drive for a law to make elections more safe:
During the 2020 election, Democrats set up treat columns and handed out candidate-branded jugs of water to people waiting in long election lines. The downright longer ranges combined with other shenanigans helped colour the Peach State blue in that election. Gun-shy Democratic voters, affected in part by posters from left-wing Systems suggesting that Liberals were out to steal the election, stayed home from the Jan. 2021 Senate discharge, further adding to the tale that Georgia was a colored state ripe for Democrats to acquire.
Kemp’s name was barely dry on the invoice when Liberals began to cry “racism”. From my November element:
Sore loser]Stacey ] Abrams penned an op-ed in USA Today that led to Major League Baseball moving the 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta. Of course, the Atlanta Braves got the best revenge by winning the World Series, and USA Today stealth-edited Abrams ‘ op-ed to replace the advice that MLB may condemn Georgia and the companies around Atlanta, many of which are minority-owned.
The storyline was that obtaining Georgia’s elections apparently equated to racism. Consistently, politicians like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris decried the policy as” Jim Crow 2.0“, and firms denounced the condition. One liberal Christian organization also claimed that outlawing Liberals handing out political water jugs denies Christians the ability to “be a light unto the planet”.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren sneeringly called Kemp the” Republican who is sitting in Stacey Abrams ‘ head” and said that he signed the law” to get Georgia again to Jim Crow”.

Votes in 2021, 2022, and 2024 proved the Democrats bad, and the General Assembly strengthened the laws in 2023. That didn’t quit the Trump administration from filing suit against the Peach State for the vote dignity rules in 2024. But under President Donald Trump and the sobriety he and Attorney General Pam Bondi have restored to the Department of Justice, the DoJ announced on Monday that it is dropping the match against the state of Georgia.
Connected:  , When May Democrats Apologize to Georgia for Lying About Election Integrity?
” Contrary to the Biden Administration’s bogus claims of destruction, black voter participation actually increased under SB 202″, said Bondi in a media release. ” Citizens deserve safe votes, not fabricated states of false voter suppression meant to separate us. Americans may be convinced that this Department of Justice will defend their ballot and not play politics with election integrity”.
” The Department of Justice is done with this disgrace”, said Acting Associate Attorney General and Department of Justice Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle. ” There is nothing discriminatory about protecting elections—baseless says of Jim Crow-style bias are the true attack”.
Kemp expressed his gratitude for the Do J’s actions:
Despite the lies and propaganda from Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, and their allies, Georgia is one of the leading states in the country for early election and experienced report voter participation in various elections since the passing of the Elections Integrity Act. I am…

It’s a stark contrast between the Biden administration’s weaponization of the justice system and the Trump administration’s recognition of the truth that Georgia is protecting its elections. More secure elections benefit everybody, and we understand that here in the Peach State.
