On Monday, the regular price for a quart of regular gasoline increased to$ 3.168. The second consecutive year saw higher energy prices.

The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline was$ 3.159 on Sunday, according to AAA, so Monday’s rate was a little increase from the trip. The cost was even higher than it was a week ago, when regular gas price$ 3.3128 per gallon. Additionally, fuel costs are more expensive than they were a month before, when gas costs were$ 3.114 per gallon.

In 2025, the regular gasoline price has fluctuated significantly. Gas prices increased in the final weeks of former President Joe Biden’s administration after beginning the year with prices hovering around$ 3 per gallon ($ 3.067 on Jan. 3 ). President Donald Trump’s subsequent expression officially began on January 20 with lower prices. Pricing continued to decline until February when there were discussions of taxes at play. This continuous increase in gas prices mainly lasted through February. Prices started to decline suddenly in March.

Pricing had dropped by the middle of March, and the Trump administration celebrated this by posting numerous ad-hoc messages on social media and using other forms of media in support of the decline in fuel costs. Petrol prices increased once more two times after the Trump administration began encouraging a lower at the pumps. The typical cost for regular oil in the nation on March 18 was$ 3.078.

Depending on the location where one lives, oil rates vary throughout the nation. The Gulf place usually has the least expensive gas prices, while the West Coast has the least expensive gas prices. Gas in Mississippi is the least expensive, costing$ 2.682 per gallon. This is followed by Oklahoma at a cost of$ 2.703, Texas at$ 2.746, Louisiana at$ 2.761, and Alabama at$ 2.777.

California continues to be the condition with the most expensive gas prices, costing$ 4.80 per gallon on average. This is roughly 30 cents per gallon more expensive than Hawaii, where regular gasoline is only$ 4.51 per gallon. Washington is next, followed by Nevada at$ 3.873, followed by Oregon at$ 3.81, with a cost of$ 4.185.

Expand SUPPORT IS STILL STRONG EVEN AFTER MISSTEPS AND DEMOCRATIC ATTACKS.

In addition, there is a significant cost difference in the states that surround Washington, D.C. Over the past year, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia have all switched to the Delmarva place as the claims with the lowest gasoline prices. Virginia currently holds that title with a statewide average cost of$ 2.974 for a gallon of regular gas. Delaware is next, followed by Maryland, which costs$ 3.189 per gallon on average.

Washington, D.C., continues to have the region’s priciest petrol prices, at$ 3.234 per gallon, which is higher than the average price across the country.
