Conservatives who support abortion have been fighting for decades to defund Planned Parenthood, the country’s largest pregnancy service. They receive hundreds of millions of dollars annually from the government, and while DOGE may be looking into it, the Supreme Court might make a major thorn second after hearing Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic on Wednesday. Medicaid bills to Planned Parenthood, the source of their national funding, are the subject of the case out of South Carolina.  ,
I spent eight years working for a Planned Parenthood in Texas, and it turned out that the Medicaid funds was a money cow despite the fact that it allegedly couldn’t afford to pay for abortions. That money was transferred to the same bank account we used to give our operating room expenses, medical equipment, staff, and abortion physicians. The federal government’s assertion that wealth is exchangeable is a joke.  ,
Low-income people and their families receive funding for Medicaid from the federal government. The governor of South Carolina issued an order deeming Planned Parenthood unfit for the funds because it provides abortions, and states have the right to choose how to handle those funds. The government directed that exact health care facilities receive the funds. Since Planned Parenthood is arguably the nation’s largest supplier of pregnancy, this is a smart choice.  ,
At the Planned Parenthood I worked for in Texas, we hardly ever saw any people there for anything other than pregnancy, and if we did, like many other Planned Parenthood infrastructure, we overbilled Medicaid. For instance, if a package of birth control pills only cost$ 3, we would bill Medicaid for more than$ 30 and take the difference. Planned Parenthood in Iowa has done that for a lot of times. They finally received a lawsuit from my friend, Sue Thayer, who worked there for almost 20 years, and made close to$ 30 million. Planned Parenthood was also sued in Texas for Medicaid fraud, where they lost and had to pay back$ 4.3 million and pay back$ 8.5 million.
The problem is that the money is needed and used with Medicaid to provide medical attention to low-income individuals. Planned Parenthood is ready to purposefully steal federal money from people in desperate need because it doesn’t care about women or their people.  ,
I wasn’t shocked by the states in the account, even though I was shocked that The New York Times and The  just published the truth about Planned Parenthood’s ugly treatment of women and their employees. The nationwide office has distributed more than$ 899 million to affiliates over the past five years, but none of it went straight to medical services, should this quote be displayed on every banner outside of each Planned Parenthood area.
Where did it end up? Not to individuals who had wastewater leaks while sat in pregnancy treatment rooms or had expired medications. Rather, it turned rather to pro-abortion politics, legal fees, and marketing.  ,
Not just about South Carolina, Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic is important. If Planned Parenthood loses, this situation may have significant repercussions across the nation. Over 60 % of Americans are opposed to taxpayer funding of pregnancy, according to court of public opinion. Women and their families would benefit if they lost because true health facilities would be able to receive more funding. A victory in South Carolina may prevent additional states from having to put to shamelessly waste time and money on endless litigation.
Planned Parenthood receives a lot of funding from angry donors who would prefer to use their hard-earned money to fund extreme political agendas and abortion access. Have fun with it. The Supreme Court now has a chance to stop paying for the pregnancy machine’s costs for British citizens.
Previous Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson is now the owner of And Then There Were Nothing, a program that assists abortion workers who are unable to leave their jobs. She is also the author of” Unplanned.”
