Hey, y’all, it’s been a while since we’ve had to think about votes, but we have a handful of critical elections that require federal focus — and that’s no April Fool’s joke.

We’ve written a lot in the last couple of weeks about the particular vote for a state supreme court seats in Wisconsin. You might think it’s not a big deal if you don’t sit it, but this could be a predictor election. This competition for a chair on the state’s highest court mines Dane County Judge Susan Crawford, who is an avowed communist, against former Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel.
It’s hard to overstate how huge this vote is. Crawford was a Planned Parenthood counsel, so we can safely know how she’ll act on abortion instances. She would even act as a far-left activist determine on any number of instances. Electing Schmiel did bend the judge’s stability to a 4-3 conservative lot.
” The Badger State may now choose between a prosecutor who will protect the state by ruling quite and a far-left political activist”, I wrote on Monday. ” The stakes are too high to get this one wrong”.

Wisconsin even has a ballot question regarding voting ID requirements and a competition for status school superintendent.

Florida has two House tribes as well now. In the 1st and 6th Congressional Districts, citizens will decide who will complete vacant seats. The 1st District was again Matt Gaetz’s chair, and Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis is facing off against Democrat Gay Valimont, who lost to Gaetz in 2024. The 6th District race to replace Michael Waltz, who became President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, mines State Sen. Randy Fine (R-19th District ) against professor Josh Weil. Interestingly, the 6th was after Gov. Ron DeSantis ‘ (R-Fla. ) seat.
The two regions may be safe GOP votes, but Liberals have poured crazy amounts of money to try to influence either or both seats to the left. Trump has endorsed both GOP candidates, and Elon Musk has pumped some money into the tribes as well.  ,
PJ Media’s Rick Moran pointed out that these two tribes reflect the difficult nature of state group elections.
” Patronis may very well win by double digits ( in a district Trump won by more than 30 points )”, Rick wrote this morning. ” But Fine’s plan has been plagued by GOP bickering, with Good having ruffled the wings of Gov. Ron DeSantis by changing his endorsement to Trump before the Florida primary last year” . ,

The Republicans ‘ chances to win both tickets will come over to attendance and voter relationship. Ideally, Sunshine State conservatives may turn out in sufficient force to get these elections. With the GOP’s razor-thin lot, retaining both seating is important.
Surveys close in Florida at 7 p. m. native period, which is 7 p. m. Eastern in the 6th District and 8 p. m. Eastern in the 1st District. In Wisconsin, elections close at 9 p. m. Eastern.
