A Perth girl was shocked after she found her physician using ChatGPT to address her. She shared her experience on Reddit, saying she had gone to the interview for test results but was shocked when the doctor copied her knowledge into the AI tool for guidance.
” I’ve always felt like I was sitting in front of like an ignorant doctor before”, she wrote. ” It feels stupid and unprofessional”.
She explained that the doctor entered her heart check information and time into ChatGPT, which finally provided tips. While she acknowledged that doctors often use Facebook or medical blogs, she felt this crossed a line.
” I don’t think I’ll be going back”, she added, asking people if they had similar activities.
The woman has reported the incident to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency ( AHPRA ) and plans to escalate her complaint to the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office.
Her blog has sparked website argument, with some expressing fears over AI use in medical and people seeing it as a useful tool for doctors.
