How’s a head-scratcher for you. ( Well, since she is a Democrat, she probably won’t. )  ,
The Jacksonville, Florida, City Council passed the Jacksonville Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act last year with a ballot of 12-5. The ordinance may make it illegal for illegal immigrants to enter or remain in Jacksonville, and it will give the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office the tools they need to “identify immigrants without lasting legal standing,” including 25 cellular fingerprint scanners.  ,

However, on Wednesday, Donna Deegan, the governor of Jacksonville, turned down the petition. She even vehemently opposed it. That implies that it will still come into impact.  ,
The sheriff’s department will also receive money, according to Deegan, who held a press conference on Wednesday. Despite this, the expenses “does zero that federal and state laws does not already do.” She added that the bill contains “language that hurts and stokes fear in immigrants who are legally living and working in Jacksonville freely” and “elements that are likely to lead to costly lawsuits.” I’m not sure why legal residents of this country may be afraid of such a act, but it’s understandable.  ,  ,
She then declared,” Every expat living in Jacksonville, you belong,” in a concept. You are important. You are adored. And we’ll keep supporting you. She continued to praise both the state’s immigrants and its law enforcement, and she reiterated that the sheriff’s office did receive financing, but that she wishes the bill had kept that policy.  ,
I want to hear this from your president to every expat dwelling in Jacksonville, whether you’ve been here for years or just arrived. You are important. You are adored. And we will keep supporting you.

One of the most obscene administration situations I’ve seen in a and may be this. If this person actually has concepts, I’m not criticizing her. I may regard everything that they say, regardless of whether I agree or disagree. In today’s society, it’s unusual to find a Democrat with genuine rules.  ,
But great grief, at least uphold what you firmly believe. If you don’t like the costs, you can oppose it and demand that the government start over with something else for the sheriff’s department. Or you can mark it and halt the good will. She is basically giving law enforcement the resources they need to stop illegal immigration in the area, but she is whining about how she doesn’t want to stop it. Get a stand now in either direction.  ,

What is the president’s justification for vetoing or refusing to sign? She stated,” I want to be absolutely clear: I do not think this act is important, and I did not mark it.” Without my consent, she said,” So why not reject it?” Because it offers a diversion, those who want to fight for our state’s advancement can do it for their individual goals would enjoy it. I want to get clear, and I don’t fear that battle. I simply don’t believe it is worthwhile to give up everything this city has to offer. There is still a lot to do, but we have accomplished so little. I don’t think it’s worthwhile to sacrifice everything that’s left over for a act that doesn’t have any impact.  ,

You don’t need an interpreter to remind you that doesn’t really mean something. Sounds like Deegan studied lawmaker language. But then she finally admitted that she simply doesn’t like her name on it so she can run for office without taking a walk. She said,” It does keep my name from being attached to something that makes refugees living around lawfully feel fearful,” she said.  ,
In fact, it’s all about her and her social career. I wonder how uncomfortable this person is after pushing the gate so difficult.  ,
Before the mayor’s speech, members of the city government gathered outside City Hall to demand that she quit playing politicians and sign the bill.  ,
I pleaded with Mayor Deegan to pass the Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act while standing with my colleagues at City Hall now. She refused to include her name on it, but she still allowed it to become laws.

I’m happy to be supporting my brother now, @CMKevinCarrico. No more political clout or pause, the president may mark the Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act. #flapol photo twitter.com/IcVdnxCFJZ— Terrance Freeman (@TFreemanJax ) April 2, 2025
