Amid speculations over Elon Musk stepping down from his DOGE position, Vice President JD Vance cleared the air Thursday in his interview with Fox and said Elon Musk may be an assistant and a companion to both JD and President Donald Trump also after his day as a specific government employee ends after 130 days.
But, is it true that Elon Musk is stepping down from his government position? JD Vance said the Politico report that Donald Trump told people of his inner circle that Musk may depart immediately is totally false information. But sooner or later, Elon Musk will have to go up to his firms, JD confirmed.
” Elon came in and we said, we need you to make government more effective. We need you to reduce the extraordinary fast government that thwarts the will of the British people but also cost way too much cash. And we said, that’s going to get about six month, and that’s what Elon signed off for”, Vance said.
What is the column over Elon Musk stepping down?
Elon Musk’s DOGE has a mandate to suggest ways to cut federal consumption by July 4, 2026. It was believed that Elon Musk and DOGE may continue to work till that moment. But in a new Fox discussion, Elon Musk first revealed that DOGE is nearing its function and he will soon have his way up to his company.
At a press conference earlier this week, Donald Trump confirmed that at some point, Elon Musk may be going back to his business but he would like to stay Musk as long as he is because he’s extremely smart, and Trump said he loves intelligent people. Trump then heaped praises on DOGE and said that the secretaries of agencies that worked with DOGE have received training on how to do DOGE work.
The controversy started as Elon Musk’s speculated exit was seen as a fallout of the Wisconsin Supreme Court election in which the Musk-backed candidate lost.
