President Trump fired at least three older national security council officers after an unusual meeting in Oval Office with far-right advocate Laura Loomer, who laid out a list of persons she believed were hostile to Trump, according to a US official with strong knowledge of the matter.
Other users of NSC are expected to get fired as part of the clean, the national added. Some of those leaders had been detailed to the government and were sent back to their home organizations over the weekend, even before the conference held Wednesday. Loomer has been part of a team effort by Trump allies to criticise members of his White House staff. The strategy has included website attacks about the members ‘ families, past jobs and aspects of their backgrounds, including professional associations, that have been used to say they were either hostile or intellectually unfit to serve in his management.
The protestors have used the word “neocon”- little for rightist- to identify many of those working for NSA Michael Waltz. The implication is that the officials are very aggressive, very excited to undertake American troops around the world and fundamentally at odds with Trump’s” America First” international policy.
Loomer, who has spread conspiracy theories about the Sept 11 problems, presented her findings directly to Trump. The conference was attended by Waltz and V-P JD Vance. For today, one of her best target, the lieutenant NSA Alex Wong, has been spared, the official said. It is questionable what the sackings mean for Waltz, who has a weak hang on his own work. Trump has so far declined to cancel Waltz after he inadvertently invited the Atlantic blogger Jeffrey Goldberg onto a Signal group talk in which leading officers shared delicate details about upcoming strikes against Houthi terrorists.
