The second highest place in the Justice Department was held by President Donald Trump, who has represented some of his supporters.  ,
Woodward is now a White House attorney. He has always represented Trump, but he has counseled people in his orbit. Most notable was Woodward’s representation of Walt Nauta, Trump’s private staffer, who was charged with violating the terms of his contract with the government for handling classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.  ,

There was worry about a potential conflict of interest because Woodward represented both Nauta and other witnesses, including former FBI producer Kash Patel.  ,
After the Justice Department argued that particular lawyers Jack Smith, the accused party’s nominee, was appointed improperly, the Justice Department dropped its claims against Nauta in January.  ,
Woodward even spoke for a number of Trump supporters and regular people who are accused of being involved in the Capitol protests on January 6. Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA ), who was accused of having his phone taken by Smith’s attorney, Peter Navarro, who was found guilty of contempt of Congress for obstructing his Jan. 6 investigations, represented him.
The new Court associate attorney general even represented Federico Klein, who was found guilty of assaulting law enforcement, Kelly Meggs, who was convicted for his role in an alleged plot , and Ryan Samsel, who is believed to be one of the first purveyors of the marching of the Capitol. Trump granted these individuals pardons or had the Justice Department dismiss their cases.  ,
WHAT ARE THE” DIRTY 15″ COUNTRIES THAT TRUMP’S TARIFFS WILL HAVE THE BEST IMPACT?  ,
Trump has previously chosen key supporters in his judicial investigations to work in the Justice Department, including Emil Bove, main associate deputy attorney general, and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche,  , and Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The Senate will have to vote on Woodward’s election.
