Police reported that despite many people being near, no spectators were harmed. The picture showed persons fleeing whilst police cars quickly surrounded the using car.
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle consciously set the car on fire and was injured in the process. He stumbled out of the burning car with his clothing in flames, but officers immediately stepped in to put out the fire.

An AFP editor observed officers and explosives specialists examining the damaged vehicle, with the main plaza remaining restricted.
A witness told AT5 broadcast about hearing a” little music, not even a real blast” and seeing individuals escape. ” Next suddenly there was a loud bang and lots of dark smoke”.
