UK manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover is pausing supplies of its vehicles to the US following the introduction of taxes by Donald Trump’s administration. The Coventry, England-headquartered business is putting these imports on hold this month as it looks at ways to address the new trading conditions, a spokeswoman said on Saturday.
The US administration introduced a 25 % tax on imported trucks, which went into effect on Thursday. ” The USA is an important industry for JLR’s luxury models”, the spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.
The Times was the first to record the sale wait.
Jaguar Land Rover sold 430, 000 cars in the 12 months up to March 2024, of which almost a fourth were in North America, according to its annual review. bloomberg
