After US biotechnology business Colossal Biosciences revealed it had safely created grave wolf pups, an endangered species, tech businessman Elon Musk has requested a dog woolly mammoth.
On X, Musk wrote,” Please make a small dog hairy mammoth.” Two wolf dogs sitting on the metal crown, inspired by Game of Thrones, the television show that helped promote the extinct species, were featured in his article, along with two photos.
Musk was depicted on a child giant on a leash, flying on a dinosaur’s back, and more in AI-generated memes that the internet read in response to his tweet.
Colossal Biosciences Inc, a biotech company based in Dallas, announced it had created three severe dog pups, which have been extinct for more than 12 000 times. It had already announced its ambitious plan to bring up the woolly mammoth in 2022.
The dog dogs, Remus, Romulus, and Khaleesi, live in a covert US apartment complex. Along with a unique food, they also consume pork, deer, and horse meat. The adult dogs are expected to measure up to 140 lbs as individuals, and they are now 20 to 25 % larger than average gray wolf their time.
Colossal’s optimistic plan to resurrect the woolly mammoth attracted widespread interest in 2022. The closest they’ve come is developing a genetically modified rat with enormous characteristics, thus far.
The agency’s study also includes studies to revive the Tasmanian and Dodo cat.
Some scientists remain skeptical despite Colossal’s claim that gene-editing tools may aid in protection and health care. The company has attracted money and well-known supporters, including Tony Robbins and Paris Hilton, who have already received profits from Colossal’s spinoff ventures.
