According to state-run Xinhua news agency on Wednesday, at least 20 people died in a disastrous fire at a nursing home in northeastern China.
The fire broke out on Tuesday at a treatment center in Longhua County, Hebei province, about 180 kilometers from Beijing’s money, around 9.00 pm local time. Specialists claim that the fireplace was contained, but not before it claimed several lives.
By 3o’clock on Wednesday, 20 mortality had been confirmed.
According to Xinhua, many other older people were moved there for medical evaluation and care, adding that their health was being carefully monitored.
Authorities are still trying to figure out what started the fire. An analysis is currently being conducted.
