JAKARTA: President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, announced on Wednesday that his country would provide temporary shelter to Israeli medical evacuees and orphans who were victims of the Israeli-Hamas war in Gaza.
Subianto stated that he has instructed his foreign affairs minister to explore evacuation plans with the Israeli government at once and that” we are ready to leave those who are injured or traumatized, and and children, and we are ready to send flights to travel them.”
He stated that Indonesia is prepared to leave the second group of about 1, 000 victims until they have completely recovered from their accidents and Gaza is healthy enough to follow. Subianto asserted that the decision was never intended for continuous settlement.
Subianto addressed the passengers on a trip to Abu Dhabi, which is the first stop on a weekend Middle Eastern trip that also includes starts in Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan. He stated that he would consult with those nations about the planned evacuations, some of whom had likewise accepted Palestinians for humanitarian reasons.
He added that other nations have urged Indonesia to play a bigger part in pursuing a solution to the Gaza issue. The most popular Muslim-majority nation in the world has long been a vocal follower of the Palestinians.
Subianto said,” This is something complicated, it’s not quick, but I think it encourages the Malaysian government to enjoy a more active part.”
