Venezuelan opposition leader promises reparations for Laken Riley and others affected by Tren de Aragua

In a letter to Laken Riley’s home, Venezuelan opposition head Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia and Marla Corina Machado, both of whom are leaders of the Tren de Aragua group, promise compensation.

Although Nicolas Maduro continued to hold office following the nation’s 2024 vote, Gonzalez is the U.S. president-elect of Venezuela.

Laken’s lifestyle, full of potential and assurance, was cruelly cut short by a person who should have never been denied the right to mix your border, Gonzalez and Machado wrote to Riley’s household.

Riley, a medical scholar in Georgia, was killed in February 2024 by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela named Tren de Aragua named Jose Ibarra. He was found guilty of her death and given a life sentence in November, 2024. The Laken Riley Act, which would require federal detention for unlawful immigrants detained on suspicion of crime or fraud, was attempted by lawmakers in 2024 as a response, but it first failed in the Senate.

It was passed earlier this year and signed into law.

Gonzalez stated that if he were elected president, he had “hold responsible all those accountable for the devastation they have caused, both domestically and internationally.”

We intend to establish a complete platform for compensation, including for Venezuelans who have been harmed by this narco-state as well as for those who have been killed worldwide, including your home,” he said.

Tren de Aragua, a foreign terrorist firm, was declared by President Donald Trump in an executive order he signed in January. The professional order says that” TdA has engaged in and continues to indulge in mass illegal migration to the United States to further its goals of killing American people, undermining public safety, and supporting the Maduro government’s target of destabilizing democratic countries in the Americas, including the United States.”

Gonzalez and Machado added that the “vast preponderance of Venezuelans who have sought security in the United States are committed to upholding the rules and contributing to your nation’s economy and society” in their email. They yearn for a free and rich Venezuela and the day when they can go back to their communities. We look forward to welcoming them back.

“LAKEN will never be forgotten,” they pleaded,” Please accept this letter as a concept of our deepest condolences and a grave promise.” She may be regarded as a benevolent target of oppression and a potent force for the change we are fervently trying to bring about.

Riley’s death was described by the pair as” a direct result of Nicolás Maduro’s regime.” Gonzalez is currently imprisoned in Spain after Maduro issued an arrest warrant for him. Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, claimed Machado is hiding and that the democratic opposition to Maduro is as “brave as they’ve always been” but that they are still in a dangerous place.

Being in the social opposition in Venezuela at this point is a lethal circumstance to be in, Rubio said on Donald Trump Jr.’s audio. They may put you in prison, they say. Everyone she is about has been jailed, and they have done this because they are not like regular prison. These are horrible circumstances that, by definition, they’re in.

Rubio claimed that the Colombian election was fake and that the Biden administration’s agreement to lift sanctions if it was held in a fair election was hampered by the country’s election interference.

Checking WHAT Expand DOES OVER THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

” So, I think&nbsp, it’s one more example of stupidity in our foreign policy, which other nations look at and say,” Well, hell, they got away with that… we could be able to get away with whatever we want as well,” he said. It’s definitely both failure and stupidity, according to &nbsp, &nbsp.

The Supreme Court earlier this month reversed a lower court’s decision, which prohibited Trump from deporting Cuban citizens under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act, allowing the presidency to resume deporting alleged Cuban group members at least while the case progresses.
