
The California youth football manager accused of killing a 13-year-old football player has been identified as an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced in a press release on Monday that Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, 43, had been charged with “one matter of death with the special circumstance allegation of death during the payment or attempted commission of sexual acts with a child, making him ready for the dying sentence.”
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office claims that Garcia-Aquino killed Oscar” Lee” Hernandez, 13, on March 28 in Lancaster, California.
The teen’s home reported him missing on March 28 after he boarded a train to Lancaster to attend Garcia-Aquino, and he hasn’t been heard from since,” according to Monday’s press transfer. Oscar was killed, and Garcia-Aquino is accused of dumping his brain in Oxnard.
Many law enforcement sources told Fox News on Tuesday that the 43-year-old think is an El Salvadoran immigrant without legal status. Also, Garcia-Aquino was described as a “depraved improper alien who should have never been in this country” in a blog on X, previously Online.
According to Fox News, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna confirmed that Garcia-Aquino “was a youth go football coach with the Hurricane Valley Boys Soccer Club in the Sylmar area working with different time divisions” and that he “had no described legal story.”

This was an avoidable crime and the result of failed border policies, according to U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bilal Essayli in a statement obtained by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin. The 13-year-old victim was described as an “innocent child star soccer player” who” should still be alive today,” according to Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security in an interview with Fox News. McLaughlin told Fox News that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had ordered a detainer for the suspected illegal immigrant, but she said it was not yet known whether the detainer would be honored because of Los Angeles ‘ status as a” sanctuary city.”
These sanctuary city politicians, according to McLaughlin, are “playing Russian roulette” with American children and citizens.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office also announced that the 43-year-old suspect was facing felony counts of assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense against a 16-year-old boy in February of 2024 and one count of assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense and lewd act against a 14 or 15-year-old child in December of 2022.
