Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf group, claims that he cannot be forced into submission at gun despite being willing to engage in peace talks with the federal or any institution.
Khan has been detained in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi since August 2023, facing various allegations that he was the subject of the removal of his government in April 2022.
Ali stated in a press conference on Thursday that Khan has indicated that he will talk with any party to guarantee constitutional and lawful supremacy, but that he will not use aggressive submission.
Our doors are open, but he said,” We are mistaken if someone thinks they can force their will on us by keeping our employees in jail and filing FIRs against us.”
Akbar emphasized the significance of political parties and organisations operating within their legal frameworks.
He declared,” We are open to dialogue with someone, whether it be the state or corporations, and we are ready to defend the Constitution and the law.”
We also own and value these institutions because they are theirs, he continued, “even though we may have grievances with some of the people who lead some of them.”
Akbar claimed that the government and corporations have successfully created conditions that prevent Khan from obtaining his fundamental rights.
He noted that the demands in the prison manual are consistent.
Akbar claims to have been forced to wait for hours before being denied entry despite repeated attempts to attend Imran Khan.
In terms of protests against Khan’s transfer, Akbar stated that this is a federal problem rather than just an concern for Khan Sahib. We have repeatedly emphasized the need for strong institutions supported by the public, but the difference between organizations and the public has grown significantly.
Akbar warned that an unrestrained open uprising without direction could lead to an unmanageable situation.
