Bill Gates has revealed the amount of money his three kids will inherit after his death. In a recent podcast, the Microsoft co-founder said his three kids daughters Jennifer, 28, Phoebe, 22 and son Rory, 25, have a great upbringing and education and so his wealth would do no favour to them. “In my case, my kids got a great upbringing and education, but [they will get] less than 1 percent of the total wealth because I decided it wouldn’t be a favor to them,” Bill said.
According to Forbes ‘ 2025 World’s Billionaire List, Bill is currently worth$ 102.2 billion, which means that his children’s inheritance would be more than$ 1 billion each.
After 27 years of marriage, Bill Gates and Melinda French made the announcement that they were splitting in May 2021. Melinda and Paula are currently dating software entrepreneur Philip Vaughn, and Gates is currently dating Paula Hurd.
Bill claims that he isn’t engaged in any of his children leaving the family business. It’s certainly a monarchy, it’s said. I don’t want them to work Microsoft.
According to Bill Gates,” I want to give them a chance to have their own earnings and accomplishment, become important and certainly overshadowed by the amazing luck and good fortune I had.”
You don’t want your children to ever be confused about your help for them and your passion for them, Gates said when asked if Jennifer, Phoebe, or Rory had always expressed their disappointment that they would only receive a small portion of his large fortune.
So I do believe it was important to explain shortly on your idea that you’re gonna handle them all likewise and that you’re gonna give them remarkable opportunities, but that the highest asking for these resources is to go back to the most needy through the base.
What will happen to his wealth? Bill Gates had previously pledged to use the bulk of his money to solve social issues. He claimed in 2024 that he was currently giving away money at a rate of$ 9 billion annually. Bill said at the moment,” I have more than enough income for my own consumption.” ” I’m getting myself to go down the list, and I’ll be glad when I completely slide off,” said one woman.
