The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation held a reading on Thursday to try to find a solution to the issue of the twice-yearly time turning, which some strong passions insist on maintaining, but which most Americans don’t like.

Making Common Time continuous would be the answer that the majority of Americans favored. According to a recent Gallup poll, 44 % of Americans want Daylight Saving Time ( DST ) to be abolished, while 40 % want to keep it. Since 1999, DST aid has dropped by 30 points.
One of three options was provided by Gallup to a separate group: maintaining the current changing structure between the two: having daylight saving time all year long, and having common occasion all year round.  ,
According to the survey, 48 % of people would prefer a regular time throughout the year, including the summer. Only 24 % favor DST throughout the year, including the spring. The smallest percentage, 19 %, is similar to switching between the two annually.
The House and Senate may work hard for more Light at the end of the day, the leader wrote on Truth Social on Friday night. Very famous and, most notably, no more clock changes, which is a major inconvenience and A VERY COSTLY EVENT for our state! ” ! ,
Trump has been largely on the record, despite calling the DST argument a “50-50 matter” next month. His oath on Friday was clear.
There is consensus over whether the clocks should be changed every two years, according to Commerce Chair Ted Cruz (R-Texas ). However, there is disagreement over whether to switch to daylight saving time or standard time. The golfing industry and advocates for permanent daylight saving time have argued that extended evening sunlight may promote recreation and exercise, while supporters of continuous regular time have argued that their preferred alternative would promote better sleep.
Trump’s support for making daylight saving time the accepted practice may help solve the debate between lawmakers. Instead of changing clocks half a season or conforming to standard period, which may mean more light in the morning and less in the night. While it’s in line with Trump’s past jobs, he tipped the balance in comment made in the Oval Office next month, calling it a “50/50 matter.”

Dr. Karin Johnson, a physician and sleep medicine practitioner currently employed by the Massachusetts-based UMASS Chan School of Medicine-Baystate, pleaded with the council to help continuous Standard Time, claiming that it advances better brain and rest health.
Johnson said,” I support President Trump’s call to close daylight saving time. Permanent Standard Time, according to her description, “is the normal, healthy choice with many long-term advantages to physical, mental, safety, and efficiency, especially for children.”
Senator Ted Cruz, the committee chairman, described the fundamental issue that Congress must overcome when attempting to resolve the issue.
Cruz stated,” I personally challenge with the two choices here, because it’s about whether you care about health, happiness, joy, and wealth, or whether you care about natural health or emotional health. And to most folks,” Gosh, I care about all that stuff.”
Common Time is already in place in some state. Should they be made to alter themselves?
A “one-size fits all” day policy, according to Republican Sen. Todd Young of Indiana, would be a mistake.
Fresh remarked that” Hoosiers would start their day in the dark for the majority of the winter.” What is effective for state like Indiana, he said, “may never work for East Coast state, as I’m hearing from many of my electorate.”
A one-size-fits-all nationwide policy of day shifts disregards regional disparities that have a significant impact on daily life, the Senator continued.

DST’s initial goal was to expand daylight during World War I, reducing the need for artificial lighting in the evening, and potentially conserving energy. Traditions may be the only defense against DST right now.  ,
One history cannot be avoided.
