Actually after Customs and Border Protection announced deductions for a number of software products just last week, President Donald Trump made it clear that no goods are free from his new increased taxes on China.

Trump claimed in a Truth Social article on Sunday that those digital products, which include smartphones, different electronic components, and computer monitors, have simply moved to a “different Price” bottle” and are still content to the 20 % tariff on China for products related to fentanyl.

No one is being held accountable for the harsh business accounts and non-monetary tariff barriers that other nations have used against us, particularly no China, which by much treats us the worst! No “exception” to the price was made public on Friday. These items are currently subject to the 20 % Fentanyl Tariffs, and they are simply moving to a different” category” of tariffs. The chairman said that The Fake News is aware of this but refuses to comment on it.

Trump continued, but, by stating that electronics and the “whole electronics supply network” will be reevaluated in “upcoming National Security Price Investigations” while highlighting the importance of producing goods in the US.

What has been made clear is that we must produce goods in the United States and that other nations, particularly hostile investing nations like China, will do everything in their power to disregard the American people. We also don’t allow them to abuse us on trade, as they have for decades. Persons DAYS ARE OVER! he said.

Consumer electronics are mostly produced abroad, with China producing 80 % of Apple’s smartphones for sale, for instance.

Trump focused China with increased taxes of 145 % while pausing the majority of tariffs he deemed mutual.
