On Sunday, US President Donald Trump attacked CBS’s 60 Minutes, accusing the long-running news program of slander, election meddling, and deceptive reporting. Trump claimed in a protracted Truth Social post that the program had “frauded” in connection with the 2024 presidential election and that CBS may be subject to severe sanctions, including losing its broadcasting license.
” An nearly every year, 60 Minutes mentions the title” Trust” in a derogatory and disparaging method, but this Weekend’s” BROADCAST” tops them all,” Trump wrote.” This Weekend’s’BROADCAST ‘ tops them all. They are being sued for Billions of Dollars for the scams they committed in the 2024 National Election.”
The senator claimed that two new 60 Minutes interviews, one about the conflict in Ukraine, and the other about Greenland, made false statements about him. They “had two big stories about Trump,” one of which had to do with Ukraine, which I claim would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been rigged, and the other was about Greenland casting our nation, as I had intended, in a false, inaccurate, and fraudulent manner,” he said.
Trump added that CBS and its family business Paramount “everything feasible to fraudulently choose Kamala,” referring to Vice President Kamala Harris. He continued,” They are not a” New Show,” but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as” News,” and they must be accountable for what they have done and are doing. They ought to gain their permits.
Trump urged government to take action in response to the statement, saying “hopefully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as headed by its Highly Respected Chairman, Brendan Carr, will establish the highest fines and consequence, which is large, for their unlawful and illegitimate conduct.”
Trump’s statements have not yet been addressed by CBS and 60 Days. Trump claims he is suing the system for the Harris meeting and its election protection in an ongoing legal challenge.
