Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, pleaded with US President Donald Trump to travel to his war-torn nation before putting any stock in his land to end the conflict with Russia on Sunday.
Zelenskyy stated in a televised interview that Trump needed to witness firsthand the devastation left by Moscow’s war.
Before any kind of choices, any kind of negotiations, come see persons, civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, children who have been killed or injured,” Zelenskyy remarked in a CBS “60 Minutes” meeting.
He claimed that a trip to Ukraine may aid Trump in comprehending Vladimir Putin’s personality. You may comprehend who you have a deal with, he continued.
Trump may be permitted to travel to any region of the nation that had experienced damage, Zelenskyy declared. We will not create something if Trump decides to travel to Ukraine. It won’t get a drama, he declared. You can travel wherever you want in any area that has experienced problems.
Zelenskyy asserted that Putin will not “end the warfare.”
” Putin can’t be trusted,” Putin. I frequently told that to President Trump. But Zelenskyy said,” When you ask why the ceasefire isn’t working, this is why.” Puntin always desired the end of the war. Puntin not desired independence for us. Puntin wants to completely subvert our country’s independence and people.
In terms of peace, Zelenskyy claimed that a just solution would be one that would preserve Ukraine’s freedom. He vowed that Ukraine would regain its occupied territory and that” to never lose our autonomy or our freedom” We may, no matter what, reclaim what we have because the Russians stole it from us.
The remarks come days after Zelenskyy, Trump, and US Vice President JD Vance had a heated change at the White House in February. Veda had accused Ukraine of organizing “propaganda tours” for meeting international leaders, a command Zelenskyy rebuffed in the discussion.
Trump has been urging for a quick solution to the more than three-year-old conflict, with rumored direct conversations with both Russia and Ukraine. Moscow has so far rejected a US-backed request for an absolute ceasefire, despite Kyiv’s acceptance of it.
A terrible issue, really?
Trump called it” a hideous thing” after a Russian attack on Sunday in Ukraine’s Sumy that left at least 34 people dead.
Trump said,” I think it was bad,” when he spoke to investigators on Air Force One. And they admitted to making a blunder. But I believe it to be awful. I believe the entire conflict is a terrible thing.
Moscow is not to blame for the attack, according to the White House. But, Marco Rubio, the secretary of state of the US, expressed his condolences to the subjects of the “heinous” Russian missile attack from today on Sumy.
Only two days after Trump’s political minister Steve Witkoff visited Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, the missile attack on Sumy was carried out in an effort to advance US-led efforts toward a probable truce.
