Jason Savage, a young Englishman, was searching for meaning in his career, but he embraced Islam in 2012. That’s no surprising in modern Britain, where the far-left Church of England merely propagates remnants of Christianity and Islam is basically the only viable alternative to the superficial secularism that has made so many people feel lifeless and meaningless. But, Savage’s conversion to Islam is where his problems first started, in a very authentic way. He is currently facing life in prison, but in the UK, that is likely to think he will spend just sixteen years in jail. Savage’s account is similar to that of many Islam converts who later become mujahideen, but this time there’s a twist.

After being shown images of him filming a reconnaissance “mission” close to a mosque and an Islamist store, Savage was “found innocent in January of plotting to attack an Islamic preacher who was an outspoken critique of terrorism,” according to the UK’s Press Association on Friday. He was imprisoned on Friday” after a judge determined that the information he had sent showed that he believed he may perish while carrying out a criminal attack.”
And so we have yet another Muslim convert who miraculously got the bizarre idea that his innovative, relaxing religion commanded him to use force against those who are not believers. Savage chose to kill an imam whose watch of Islam was different from his own, and more particularly, one of the problem of the permissibility of Islamic jihad terrorism:” Video footage released by West Midlands Police after Savage was convicted showed him filming surveillance near a mosque in Wright Street, Small Heath, Birmingham, in March last time.”
Savage is spotted on the film discussing how to leave the area after carrying out his warfare. He states,” That seems like the best way to get ahead; the authorities will likely come from that location.” According to the Press Association, Savage, who had modified the handle of a knife found at his house, was also heard saying:” Just needs the methods today. Ask Allah to give the means to man, mate.

Savage planned to attack a Muslim priest as well as a “bookstore and dome in the Small Heath area” because the imam’s “approach to the Salafi movement was completely at odds with his own.” The unknown imam “advocated a piece of Salafism that emphasizes the importance of non-involvement in social or political activism,” in addition to his dome, publishing home, and retail business. Savage wanted to send an imam to Allah because he was an “outspoken writer” of Islamic terrorism, arguing that it was completely incompatible with the real nature of Islam.
Why aren’t there more real elites in Islam? The problem lies with Jason Savage’s selection of goals. There are numerous easy swindlers, but real elites are extremely thin on the ground. One reason is that, even if one believes that Islam needs to be “perfected” after Allah has “performed,” it ( Qur’an 5: 3 ) makes them a heretical or apostate, and thus deserving of the death penalty. Many jihadis would view an imam who spoke out against terrorism as a heretic or apostate because it is fundamental to the Islamic religion to” strike terror in the enemies of Allah” ( Qur’an 8: 60 ). And thus Jason Savage made the decision to kill a familiar sheikh who did the same.  ,
Savage also intended to carry out the Qur’an’s command to “kill the polytheists wherever you find them” ( 9: 5 ), with polytheists essentially anyone who isn’t Muslim. He claimed to have taken pictures of the West Midlands Police hq, police facilities in Perry Barr and Stechford, as well as several military installations in Birmingham, and had told the undercover officer that he was “putting his chest on a chopping stop.” He was undoubtedly ready to take the chance.

In prison, Savage has demonstrated that he is a deeply committed jihadist: “prosecutor Peter Ratliff said Savage had in the past set fire to furniture in his cell and posted social media messages saying he was relieved to hear prison staff had been” stabbed up” after what he claimed was a plot against Muslim inmates.” But be assured that he is actually the victim. According to the court, Savage “has also been identified with post-traumatic stress disorder following childhood trauma.” Oh, well, then! Set him free right away!

What, seriously, is it with Muslims who have converted? Writing the accounts of all the Muslims who have resisted terrorism would make for a good-sized book, but it continues to be a dogma of American public discourse that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing to do with terrorism. We are repeatedly told that every religion has its extremists, but there are literally hundreds and possibly many more Islam converts who have joined terror organizations, compared to vanishingly few, if any, converts to Christianity or other religions who have done so.
Authorities are resolutely unaware of this phenomenon, and no one in the world has studied the causes of the many converts to Islam who end up working for terrorist organizations. It would appear to be” Islamophobic” to investigate this and try to prevent it. As Jason Savage can attest, this only serves to encourage the recruitment of new Muslims into terrorism.
