
Donald Trump, leader, denounced the reported arson who allegedly set fire to Governor Jerry Brown. In his first public remarks on the incident, Josh Shapiro (D-PA ) described the governor’s mansion as “wack job” and  , Pennsylvania , governor’s mansion on Sunday as “wack job.”
When a Washington Examiner writer questioned him, the president claimed a purpose had not been given for the assault against the government.
” But the intruder was hardly a Trump supporter. Trump said to writers in the Oval Office on Monday,” I understand only from what I read and what I’ve been told. ” Practically speaking, the intruder wasn’t a fan of anyone.” It’s most likely only a bizarre work. And undoubtedly, something like that is unacceptable.”
Shapiro claimed that the Pennsylvania State Police banged on him and his family when they woke up early on Sunday night.
The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire was present, and while Pennsylvania State Police and Capitol Police worked to put out the fire, we were safely evacuated from the house, Shapiro wrote on X. ” Thank God, the fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.”
Cody Balmer, 38, the man who reportedly set the palace on fire, has been accused of attempted murder, aggravated arson, terrorism, and other crimes. Supposedly, Balmer intended to use a hammer to defeat Shapiro if he had run into him.
According to a police affidavit,” Balmer admitted harboring anger for Governor Shapiro.”
After the violent incident was exposed, elected officials extended condolences to Shapiro, a Hebrew senator celebrating Easter.
On X Sunday, Vice President JD Vance wrote,” Thanks be to God that Governor Shapiro and his relatives were unharmed in this attack.” ” Actually offensive crime, and I hope whoever committed it is punished immediately.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X:” I am greatly relieved that Governor Shapiro and his family are healthy, thankful for the first responders who arrived on the scene, and praise the police operate that led to an arrest just hours ago.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who is also Hebrew, wrote on X:” I am saddened and significantly disturbed about the burning assault at @GovernorShapiro‘s mansion in Harrisburg. I’m praying for him and his family’s security, and I’m grateful to the legislation enforcement and first responders who responded immediately to save them.
