In a statement on Social Security, which was his first significant solve since leaving the White House, former President Joe Biden criticized his son without naming him.

At a Tuesday night event in Chicago for disability activists, Biden claimed,” They’ve taken a knife to the Social Security Administration, and they’ve pushed an extra 7, 000 people, 7, 000, out the door.” They are now getting ready to drive hundreds more out the door.

Biden frequently resisted using the name” the former guy” or “my father” when uttering President Donald Trump’s title during remarks as president. He amplified statements from the Democrat Party that the Trump administration wants to reduce Social Security, and he continued to do so on Tuesday.

After taking the stage while listening to the Bruce Springsteen music” We Take Care of Our Own,” Biden delivered a discourse that had a similar tone and approach to those he delivered during his one-year White House expression, which ended less than three months ago.

He began by recalling tales from his children, including those about moving from Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Delaware and how difficult it was for his parents to find steady employment. Biden also mentioned how isolated schools were in his youth, which he claimed bothered him as a third student.

But he quickly made sense of the situation.

Social Security is more than just a plan of the government, it is. It’s a divine claim that we made, according to Biden. ” Seventy-three million Americans are Social Security recipients. They deposit Social Security from the first paycheck throughout their whole lives, and in exchange, they trust that Social Security will be there when they’ll need it. Folks, we had never, ever turn our back on that confidence.

Trump has repeatedly said on the 2024 plan road that he will not reduce Social Security, and he has done so ever since taking office. He signed a document attacking what his administration says is Social Security fraud earlier on Tuesday.

Despite this, the Department of Government Performance, led by Elon Musk, has eliminated dozens of federal jobs. Democrats warn that services are already being negatively impacted, even though Musk claims that eliminating jobs did keep taxpayer money and therefore make authorities programs more effective and financially sound.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY ) has demanded that acting Social Security Administration Commissioner Leland Dudek step down after accusing the Trump administration of using him to “hurt seniors.”

According to Schumer, Donald Trump and Elon Musk have” a , hatchet , man , in Leland Dudek, an acting director with an attention on the “acting,” because his actual job is to destroy the very business he is supposed to direct, improve, and protect.

MartinO’Malley, Biden’s unique cultural security administrator, claimed Trump and Musk “gutted” the SSA” with a chainsaw.”

Make no mistake about it ,O’Malley said,” It’s the American people who are feeling the pain.” They will feel the strain from the longer wait times. They will experience pain from waiting areas that are crowded. They will experience the pain of having their field office destroyed and reduced by 25 % or 50 %.

Biden issued similar instructions during his remarks.

He claimed that some seniors are concerned that their balances might not arrive on time because millions of elders rely on Social Security as their only source of income.

It’s” for many of these participants ‘ even income,” Biden said. It would be devastating for millions of people if they were cut or removed. And the mental strain we put people through this debate is completely devastating.

Biden specifically made reference to Musk’s assertion that Social Security is a” Ponzi scheme,” despite not name him either.

What in the world are they discussing? said Binding. Individuals “earn these advantages. They resisted that advantage and paid into that profit. And nobody should discard it.

He added that Trump’s presidency is driven by cruelty more than compassion for the common people, making a statement that is good directed at him.

These individuals are knocked down every time. They were taught how to stand up,” Biden said. The “most they need from their state is intentional cruelty” is the last word.

Trump to mark a letter to combat social security fraud

The White House defended Trump’s report on Social Security and made a sharp comparison to Biden’s years, with media director Karoline Leavitt expressing surprise that Biden had deliver an hour speech.

Leavitt said,” I may have thought his sleep was much earlier than his speech tomorrow.

” Let me make it very clear that the president, this president, President Trump, is absolutely certain about protecting Social Security benefits for law-abiding, tax-paying Americans and seniors who have enrolled in this program,” she continued, making it clear before former President Biden’s remarks.
