With the funds raised for Karmelo Anthony’s legal battle, the home of 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, who is accused of stabbing Austin Metcalf to suicide in self defense at a record event, is planning to relocate to a new home. Armelo left jail after a judge reduced his bond from$ 1 million to$ 250,000 on Monday. Anthony was charged with first-degree death after stabbing Austin Metcalf, who had died in his mini brother’s arms in a stunning murder.
Anthony and Metcalf were new to one another. After Austin Metcalf, accompanied by his nephew, told Karmelo to walk because he was in the wrong place, he claimed Metcalf pushed him, and he took out the weapon in self defense, the two men exchanged racial epithets, leading to cultural debate, where Anthony is dark.
After Anthony’s home received racist threats from Metcalf’s death, over$ 420, 000 has been donated to his home through an online charity. Anthony’s father was questioned by the prosecution about his ability to use the money to pay the initial relationship and relieve his son. His parents, Andrew Anthony, stated that the money would also be used for Anthony’s safety and that the family planned to relocate to a new home for added security.
The defense attorney Mike Howard said,” This home needs to be able to survive.” There has been a lot of stress, they say. Given anything, I believe that the health of their younger kids is very important at this time. Living in a gated community is a good idea. Criminal defense and security details are certainly inexpensive.
Anthony’s attorneys initially requested a$ 150, 000 bond reduction, arguing that$ 1 million was excessive because the girl had never been in trouble before.
Karmelo Anthony is currently under house arrest and wearing knee monitors. He is only permitted to leave his home with the court’s acceptance and when accompanied by a parent, and is not able to call Mecalf’s family.
