Letitia James, the Democrat New York Attorney General, was referred to the U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday for potential mortgage fraud trial by President Donald Trump’s administration.
The Federal Housing Finance Agency sent a fugitive referral to the Justice Department on Tuesday regarding writers of mortgage fraud connected to the New York attorney general, according to records obtained by” The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte accused James of reportedly falsifying data to meet mortgage needs and get better loan conditions in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
James was charged with providing “falsified records” in exchange for home loans for a supposedly “principal residence” in Virginia in 2023, according to the judicial referral.
Yet though her loan programs state that she intends to have the Norfolk, VA, house as her principal house, Ms. James was the sitting Attorney General of New York, according to Pulte.
According to Pulte,” It appears that Ms. James ‘ untruths regarding mortgages and home may have continued in her new purchase of a house in Norfolk, Virginia in order to secure a lower interest rate and more suitable payment words.”

Additionally, Pulte’s notice made mention of a five-family Brooklyn, New York, home that James purchased in February 2001. According to Pulte, James continuously misrepresented the exact property because of the number of mortgage applications and building permit applications.
According to Pulte,” Ms. James, for both attributes listed above, appears to have falsified records in order to match specific lending requirements and get positive product terms.”
The files from 1983 and 2000 listed James and her father as “husband and partner” although the letter on Tuesday also stated that James had purchased another house and had her father listed as a cosigner.
According to Pulte’s email, James ‘ actions could lead to charges of wire-delivery, bank fraud, mail fraud, and misleading statements made to financial institutions, according to Pulte’s letter.
A James director stated in a statement released by The New York Post following Tuesday’s legal referral that,” Attorney General James is focused every day on protecting New Yorkers, particularly as this Administration weaponizes the federal government against the principle of law and the Constitution.” Bullies will not intimidate her, no matter who they are.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump criticized James for being a totalitarian politician and should resign as New York State Attorney General IMMEDIATELY. Everyone is attempting to “MAKE NEW YORK GREAT AGAIN,” but this outrageous crook in office cannot be done.
