Rubio in Paris to meet Macron on Ukraine war

As Washington and Europe work together to find a solution to the conflict in Paris on Thursday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and French President Emmanuel Macron met in Paris to discuss a stalemate for the Ukraine.
Best Russian authorities met with EU and US delegations on Thursday, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy‘s chief of staff, without naming anyone.
US minister Steve Witkoff and Rubio, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, made their way to Paris, where they are scheduled to meet. Despite Trump’s pledges to put an end to the conflict as quickly as possible, the two men are expected to meet in Paris.
Despite a number of political efforts, Russia’s attacks have just resulted in the deaths of dozens of people, including kids, in Ukraine’s towns of Sumy and Kryvyi Rig.
Three people, including a young woman, were killed in a Russian helicopter strike on the Russian city of Dnipro late on Wednesday, according to authorities.
After Trump shocked the earth by launching direct negotiations with Russia, Macron has taken the lead in attempting to build a planned Western response to defend Ukraine, both during the latest issue and in its aftermath.
Andriy Yermak, Zelenskyy’s chief of staff, stated that he and foreign secretary Andriy Sybiga and defense secretary Rustem Umerov were in Paris to meet with France, Germany, Britain, and the United States, but they did not specify when they would join.
Rubio and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot did talk about” the position in the Middle East, the Iranian nuclear report,” according to a French diplomatic source before.
Rubio has visited Europe three times since taking business.
A peace deal is “emerging,” Witkoff claimed on Monday, just weeks after his second meeting with Putin.
The United States and Iran have been having discussions about Tehran’s nuclear programme in Paris following debate last weekend in Oman.
In Italy, a second round is scheduled for Saturday.
Individually, Sebastien Lecornu, the French defense minister, may travel to Washington on Thursday.
He will discuss topics including Gaza, Iran, and Ukraine with US defense minister Pete Hegseth.
