On Thursday, the US military announced that cuts would “destroy” Ras Isa Port, a significant harbor in Yemen. According to the report, the goal of the action was to “degrade” the harbor, which Houthis claim was their “economic source of power.”
The attacks were carried out by Central Command of the US military.
The Iran-backed Houthis use energy to support their military operations, as a tool of power, and to profit financially from embezzling the profits from the trade, CENTCOM stated in a declaration on its X handle. The Yemeni individuals may receive this energy in a legitimate manner.
The US State Department designated the Ansarallah ( Houthis ) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, but ships continued to supply fuel via Ras Isa, according to the report.
According to CENTCOM,” Nowadays, US forces took action to remove this source of fuel from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists and relieve them of the improper income that has been used to finance Houthi efforts to terrorize the whole area for over ten years.” The Houthis continue to abuse and inflict severe harm on their own citizens. The Yemeni people who legitimately want to live happily were not the target of this reach.
The Yemen rebels, their “masters” Iran, and others who abet their criminal acts were also warned that” the world does not take illegal trafficking of energy and war material to a criminal business.
Many businesses have been forced to take a costly detour around the tip of southern Africa because of Houthis ‘ repeated attacks, which have prevented ships from passing through the Suez Canal, which is a crucial route that handles about 12 % of the world’s shipping traffic.
Under the Joe Biden leadership, the United States second started carrying out attacks against the Houthis. Donald Trump, the son of Biden, has pledged that military actions against the rebels will persist until they are no longer a threat to transport.
