Iran held military marches on Friday to celebrate its quarterly Army Day celebrations, which included a variety of its most recent domestically produced drones, missiles, tanks, and other components.
The events occurred on the day of the second round of radioactive negotiations between Iran and the United States, which will take place on Saturday in Rome. In the Tehran festival, mock-ups of privately developed drones, including the jet-powered Karrar, Arash, and Mohajer designs, were shown, according to status television.
Military marches were also held in other key cities in addition to the money. Russian-designed S-300 air defense systems were also present at the Tehran function. President Masoud Pezeshkian attended, who praised the army as the” strong fortress” of the country and credited it with establishing the country’s regional influence.
A moment before Iranian and American ambassadors were scheduled to meet in the European money for a second round of direct nuclear talks mediated by Oman, the martial display took place. Both sides praised the first round, which took place last Saturday in Muscat, as” constructive.”
Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was informed in a letter from US President Donald Trump in March that called for renewed talks on Tehran’s nuclear program and forewarned defense activity if diplomatic efforts don’t materialize. Trump added:” I think Iran wants to talk,” adding that he is” not in a rush” to attack Iranian nuclear facilities on Thursday.
Tehran’s representative in the talks, Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, stated on Thursday that” we are completely serious in these speaks” and that “based on the other party’s strategy, we will examine how to proceed.
Washington is represented in the discussions by US special envoy Steve Witkoff. Trump reportedly refused to cooperate with Israel’s plan to attack Iranian nuclear installations, according to a New York Times statement on Wednesday, choosing to prioritize political awareness. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Thursday that Israel would never permit Iran to acquire nuclear weapons despite the ongoing US-Iran negotiations.
