After slapping a guy in a Singapore private area on Saturday, an Indian-origin man was charged with deliberately inflicting harm with dangerous weapons.
R. Nadhiban, 22, is accused of using a weapon to slash Kaalithasan Govindaragi, 30, of American descent, on April 17 at around 1 am in the open space car park between two flat stones. He is accused of doing this in the Hougang cover house.
The sufferer, who was visiting his three-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital with injuries to his shoulder.
Nadhiban’s clinical assessment was ordered to be remanded to the Institute of Mental Health. On May 2, his case may be brought before the authorities once more, according to The Straits Times.
He faces jail time of up to seven times and punishment if found guilty of deliberately injuring someone with dangerous weapons.
Police claimed in a prior assertion that a member of the public intervened to free the victim and his brother from the perpetrator. The naked man then used a wooden plank he had taken to damage a local bus before attempting to attack the victim with a car and then used it to damage a parked car.
According to the Singapore daily record, Nadhiban attacked the officers with the wooden plank as they were advancing to arrest him, which caused three officers to suffer minor injuries.
