Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday said that Israel has “no alternative ” but to maintain its military battle in Gaza.
He pledged to push forward until Hamas is destroyed, the victims are freed, and the territory no longer poses a risk.
Netanyahu has been facing force, with disappointment growing among the people of Jewish victims, military troops, and retired veterans. Presentations have become more numerous, calling on the government to secure the launch of the remaining 59 hostages held by Hamas.
Despite these names, Netanyahu insisted: “ I believe we can take our hostages house without surrendering to Hamas’s demands. We are at a crucial phase of the battle, and at this stage, we need persistence and determination to succeed. ”
In a televised speech on Saturday, Netanyahu said he would never flee from his devotion to preventing Iran from obtaining weapons of mass destruction. ” I’m committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. I will never give up on this, I will not let go of it, and I did not flee from it— not even by a millimetre,” he said.
90 Palestinians killed in 48 time
Netanyahu’s comment came after studies from Gaza’s health department said more than 90 Palestinians had been killed in 48 hours of Jewish attacks. Many of the subjects were women and children. Among the dead were 15 people killed immediately, including those in a tent in the so-called “humanitarian zone ” of Muwasi in Khan Younis. Four individuals, including a mother and her daughter, were killed in Rafah.
In northern Gaza, a separate strike east of Nuseirat killed one citizen, according to Al-Awda Hospital.
The Israeli government claimed it had killed more than 40 insurgents over the weekend, while confirming the suicide of one man in northeastern Gaza — the first since the battle resumed on March 18.
Israel has tightened its embargo on Gaza for the past six months, halting the passage of food and necessary items. Support organizations say the country is facing a poverty crisis. The UN warned that thousands of children are becoming famished and most people are surviving on just one meal a moment.
The war, now stretching beyond six decades, began with Hamas-led strikes on southwestern Israel on October 7. 2023, which killed around 1,200 people and led to the violence of 251. While some victims have since been released, Hamas is also holding 59, of whom 24 are believed to be dead.
Israel’s martial response has killed more than 51,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza health authorities, and displaced around 90 % of the people. Entire towns lie in remains, and most of Gaza’s food production has been wiped out.
