In Nairobi, a 14-year-old girl lost her life following a lion attack, according to the Kenya Wildlife Service ( KWS ) announcement on Sunday.
The tragic event took place on Saturday at a ranch situated north of Nairobi National Park.
Another student witnessed the incident and advised authorities, as per the KWS declaration.
” KWS rangers and answer teams were soon mobilized and traced traces leading to the Mbagathi River, where the woman’s body was recovered with wounds on the lower up,” the restoration company said in a speech.
” The bear was no sighted at the landscape,” the statement continued.
The regulators have established a bait to catch the cat and dispatched groups to search the area, alongside implementing additional health protocols.
The KWS also reported that an rhinoceros had claimed the life of a 54-year-old gentleman in Kenya’s Nyeri County on Friday. ” KWS conveys its heartfelt condolences to the grieving people and continues to work strongly with local law enforcement and communities to improve the safety of people living near protected animals places,” the statement mentioned.
The company emphasised the need for increased revenue towards preventing human-wildlife issues, including early alert techniques and stronger proposal with affected local communities.
