Is the bishop Catholic? That used to be a rhetorical question, but under the later Pope Francis, it became an all-too-serious keyword.
Pope Francis, actually Jorge Bergoglio, was more a communist lawmaker than a holy evangelizer, which is why fake Catholic Joe Biden gave Bergoglio an honor. It is unlucky that the Catholic Church has Jesus guarding it, because Francis is one of a number of tragic popes over the centuries ( though there are, fortunately, an even greater variety of holy rulers, including St. Peter ).

Papal omnipotence likewise applies only to a small collection of declarations as defined in cannon legislation. But while the Church outlived Bergoglio, he appeared to hate that point; he definitely tried his hardest to copy the Church in his Socialist, communist image. I pray he repented before his demise.
One of Francis’s most terrible legacies is the deal that he made and constantly renewed with the murderous Chinese Communist Party (CCP), largely handing control of the church in China over to the CCP, in spite of the CCP‘s severe persecution-of-10-catholic-bishops-in-china-intensified-after-vatican-china-deal-report-says” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>religious persecution and human rights abuses. The situation of Chinese Catholics grew worse after the deal was signed, and still Francis’s Vatican only renewed the offer suddenly in October 2024!
Pope Francis betrayed Cardinal Joseph Zen Ze-kiun and his own tortured Catholics in trying to appease the CCP. But Francis certainly had a propensity for rulers — he had a “very … friendly ” meeting with Cuban dictator and torturer of Catholicism Fidel Castro in 2015. Persecuted Christians worldwide also frequently found the bishop ignoring their plight.
Francis has also been accused of covering up for and even promoting administrative sexual offenders, including the legendary Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, both before and after he became bishop.

A few years back, Francis signed a document that was a joint declaration with a Muslim head and that made the boldly heretical statement that God approves of a variety of religions. Not only that, but Francis, who pretends to be pro-life , appointed a pro-abortion analyst to the Pontifical Academy for Life and gave an award to a pro-abortion campaigner. Pregnancy is, of course, entirely condemned by Catholic theory.

Francis even displayed a troubling pro-LGBTQ flat. For example, he held a lunch for “transgenders” and has sent nice and even laudatory emails at least half to Fr. James Martin, whose pro-LGBTQ engagement is instantly violative of scriptural and religion teaching. Francis restricted the ages-old Latin Mass and insulted standard Catholics, yet while ignoring open heresy. And the late pope recently appointed woke , pro-pedophile Robert McElroy to become Cardinal of the District of Columbia.
It is always impossible to know the state of a person‘s mind precisely at the moment of death, and I had prayed for the pope’s forgiveness. But it is hard to feel a great deal of charity for a man who betrayed Chinese Catholics, backstabbed some of his most loyal church members ( traditionalists ), likely covered up for sex abusers, and all but ignored Catholics and other Christians being murdered in multiple African and Asian countries to expend loads of sympathy on jihad-loving, anti-Christian Gazans and illegal aliens.
