NEW YORK: Authorities arrested a 30-year-old man inside Trump Tower on Monday after getting a record of a chaotic people on an “elevated area” inside the tower, authorities said.
New York City Police responded at around 4:30 p. m. to the building where President Donald Trump keeps a tower. The castle even houses personal condominiums, restaurants, shops, and a soaring community courtyard that is available to tourists.
Independent reporters on the field posted videos of security authorities evacuating people from the hall and police officers after exiting the building. The soldiers were wearing masks and health collars of the kind used by incident firefighters who specialize in rescuing people from high places.
The NYPD’s crisis services unit took the man into custody without further incident, authorities said. It wasn’t immediately clear what charges the person may experience and the incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
Trump Tower has been the field, over the years, of protests, weapon scares and the odd ploy. A man tried to scale the tower in 2016 and got to the 21st ground before soldiers dragged him in.
