United States secretary of state Marco Rubio on Tuesday announced there would be a” complete” reform of the US State Department, which he leads. According to Rubio, the State Department, in its present form, is “bloated”, “bureaucratic”, and it has “failed” to do its vital diplomatic mission in this age of “great energy competitors. “
” We are facing huge problems across the globe. To give on President Trump’s America First foreign plan, we must make the State Department Great Once,” its media release quoted Rubio as saying.
America’s best minister more said,” Over the past 15 times, the Department’s footprints has had unparalleled growth and prices have soared. But far from seeing a return on investment, citizens have seen less effective and efficient politics. “
Rubio accused the government of creating a method which is “more indebted to extreme political philosophy than advancing America’s key national interests. “
The reform, he stated, had “empower the Department from the ground up, from the departments to the offices. “
The US secretary of state noted that under the fresh program, region-specific features may be consolidated to improve efficiency; duplicate practices may be removed, and non-statutory programs which are “misaligned” with the state ’s key national interests may be ended.
” Under President Trump’s leadership, we have a commander in chief committed to putting America and Americans first. As his secretary of state, I am confident a reformed State Department will meet the moment and help make our country great once again,” Rubio said, concluding the message.
