As part of a month-long research, President Donald Trump’s borders emperor Tom Homan and New York City Mayor Eric Adams coordinated the arrest of 27 Tren de Aragua associates and partners.

Adams claimed in a press conference on Tuesday that the party was detained on suspicion of criminal, drug and sexual trafficking, and drug and sex trafficking. Adams’s relationship with the Trump presidency is strengthened by the activity and its promotion.

” Today, we announced a new gang takedown  in our city, which is the result of our local and federal partners ‘ efforts to keep New Yorkers safe. Members of the famous Tren de Aragua gang are among the defendants in this case, Adams stated in a blog on X.

The research into a last-year assault against two New York City Police Department officers culminated with the activity, according to the president. The 27 people who were detained came from all over the nation.

According to the prosecution, 21 people were people of a violent fragment group called anti-Tren, while the other six were members of the gang.

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated in a statement that” Tren de Aragua is not just a city group… it is a very structured criminal organization that has destroyed British families with terrible violence,” adding that the arrests” will destroy TDA’s infrastructure” in three states.

Adams praised the Trump administration’s efforts at the Manhattan press conference and thanked it for its contribution to combating violence.

He declared,” We have taken them over and we will continue to fight violent international acts with the full force of the law.” ” It’s great to have lovers in the federal authorities who are joining us in this goal on how crucial it is to keep our capital safe,” said one of the partners.

The press event also raised the controversy surrounding a combined effort to open the state’s largest prison complex on Rikers Island, the state’s largest jail complex, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. On Monday, state Supreme Court Justice Mary Rosado signed a temporary restraining order for Adams to comply with the professional get in response to a petition from the New York City Council.

Homan argued on Tuesday that a facility was necessary and that a lack would create more issues.

When ICE officers are required to enter the town to arrest the bad man, he said,” a public health threat, a national security threat, that means more officers in your area, that means more money arrests.” Grant us access to the people in the prison cell you’ve locked up.

In exchange for the federal government dropping fraud charges against him, the New York City Council claimed in its petition that Adams had a collusion with the Trump administration to systematically targeted illegal immigrants.

Adams, however, argued that there is a long-standing law for an ICE facility on Rikers Island, which is also necessary given the recent influx of immigrants.

According to Adams,” We are currently working on implementing an executive purchase that will allow ICE providers to conduct searches on Rikers Island, as was the case for 20 years,” and that ICE agencies will now be concentrated on assisting the penitentiary intelligence bureau in their legal investigations, particularly those involving violent offenders and criminals.

More than 230, 000 migrants have come to our city seeking assistance since the spring of 2022, with little assistance from the previous administration, he continued. ” That is why I have made it clear that I want to work with the new federal government, not fight with them, to find common ground and improve the lives of New Yorkers.”

Since Trump’s election, the United States has increased its operations against Tren de Aragua, helped by fears the gang had spread throughout the Americas as a result of the Venezuelan refugee crisis. In an executive order, the president labeled the group a terrorist organization.
