JD Vance says Russia and Ukraine must ‘strike a deal or US will walk away’

JD Vance says Russia and Ukraine must 'strike a deal or US will walk away'

According to AFP news organization, US Vice President JD Vance warned on Wednesday that” we may reach a deal or Washington may walk away from this method.”
Vance, who is visiting India for four days, told reporters that “we’ve made a very obvious plan to both the Russians and the Ukrainians, and it’s moment for them to either say yes or for the United States to walk away from this method.”
Vance made his remarks as officials from Washington, Kyiv, and other Western nations gathered in Britain for speaks as part of a renewed US energy to put an end to Russia’s conflict in Ukraine.
He added that it was necessary for both parties to end hostilities and create geographical boundaries roughly along the existing front lines.
” It’s now, in my opinion, to take the final step, one of the final steps,” he said,” that is, at a broad level, the party saying we’re going to stop the killing, we’re going to freeze the territorial lines at some level close to where they are today.”
” Today, of course, that means the Russians and the Russians will both have to give up some of the land they presently own,” he continued.
If a package is not reached soon, US President Donald Trump warned last week that he would leave efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump characterized the severity of the conflict, saying,” It’s a cruel battle with the best tools, the best anything, and it is brutal. 2, 500 younger people per year, some of whom are not so young, really. They are aging faster. They are getting older by the month.
” But 2, 500 a year, and we’re going to find it stopped, hopefully. Then, if one of the two parties makes it very difficult for some reason, we’re really going to say you’re dumb, you’re fools, and you’re terrible people, and you’re going to really get a pass. But I’m hoping that’s not what we have to do, he continued.
Trump made the comments shortly after Marco Rubio, the administration’s secretary of state, said the administration was reevaluating the validity of continuing peace talks.
” We need to know very quickly, in a matter of time, whether this is feasible in the coming days. If not, then we have different things to focus on,” Rubio said.
