
Chinese leaders rebutted President Donald Trump‘s claim that the United States and China are constantly negotiating taxes.  ,
Trump said Wednesday that the U. S and China were “actively” talking on a daily basis.  ,
” China and the U. S. have not engaged in any sessions or discussions regarding taxes, allow only reached an agreement”, Chinese foreign ministry official Guo Jiakun said at a lecture.
Guo said any reports of continuous discussions were false and added that China is available to conversations. ” If it’s a battle, we will fight to the end”, he said.
Another Chinese director said,” Any claims about the development of China-U. S. trade agreements are groundless as trying to catch the breeze and have no scientific base”.
Trump enacted a 145 % tariff on China as part of his additional tariffs on nearly every nation earlier this month. Less than a week after, he walked up most tariffs for 90 days but left a 10 % foundation price on most places.
In returning, China imposed a 125 % tax on the U. S. Relations with China appeared to improve recently on Wednesday, as the Trump administration said it was discussing reducing its steep price on China.  ,
Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave opposed answers about any agreements. Bessent said “both factors are waiting to speak to the other” but did not provide additional information.  ,
” I don’t believe either side believes that the recent price levels are green, so I would not be surprised if they went down in a joint way”, Bessent told reporters Wednesday.
Trump, meanwhile, said “everybody wants to be a part of what we’re doing” and that the world’s two largest economies are in contact “every day” . ,
